The new Porsche 997 is actually 38mm wider than the 996 Turbo creating a more aggressive look, but it is still some 22mm narrower than the wide body C2S Coupe and Porsche Cayenne models. As each new model is introduced Porsche has aimed to reduce the drag co-efficient helping the 997 move through the air more effectively, hence aiding performance.
The latest model is no exception and despite taking some of its styling cues from the Porsche 996 Turbo we only need to compare the Porsche 997 to it to see how far the aerodynamic game has moved on. The latest body shell & rear wing combine with new underbody paneling to also offer increased levels of down force for this latest evolution of Porsche's finest.
