Postira lies on the north side of the island Brac, which lies in front of the coast near Split. It is an historical fishermen’s village which still originates from the 14th century. At 9 km. lies the well know tourist town Supetar. The ferry from Split arrives in the Supetar harbour. Many restaurants and hotels lies around the harbour. There is also a small market. The town centre is partially car free with many pubs, bars, beach tents, numerous restaurants, dance centre’s and shops. The Supetar coast, between Mirca in the west and Splitska in the east, is an ideal spot to go swimming. The beaches are usually with pebbles, beautiful and slightly sloping and also ideal for children considering the bottom of the sea is sandy. In Postira you can lovely eat fish and there is a large offer in sports- and leisure activities.
