This cottage is a former farm within approx. 6 km from Brecon. This is an ideal location for lovers of long walks and those who would like to visit the National Park.
Brecon is situated in the midst of the National Park and is completely popular under walkers and mountain bikers. The smaller town is iteresting, due to its cathedral and even have museums; The Welsh Borders Museum accommodates a diorama of Rorke's Drift and the Brecknock Museum accents the land life, the natural story and the history of Brecon. There is a visitors centre at Brecon Cathedral as well as a shop and café.
For active recreation there is enough choices: sailing, tennis, and new recreation centre with an indoor pool, various childrens play parks and 2 mooie golf courses. The town center is typically pleasant with two supermarkets, shops and a broad offer offer of reestaurants, 'Inns' and cafés.
Annually, in August, you will find a world famous Jazz Festival, which attracts visitors and artists from the entire world.
Within 8 km from Brecon is the Mountain Centre of the National Park, where attention is given to the natural history, geology and to the landscape of the region. There is a café, picnic area and a shop where activities are planned and hiked are organised under guidance.
