The, at only 2 km. further situated Rennsteig invites you into making long walks but also climbing the highest mountain of the Thüringer Forest (the Finsterberg) is certainly worth the climb. Besides a walk of biking trip through the river valleys between Schücke, Finsterberg and Stützerbach is recommendable, just as the beautiful Nahetal, where you can nicely enjoy the rest and the nature.
