The Thüringer Forest is marked as one of the most beautiful middle mountain ranges of Europe for a reason. It offers a wonderful hilly landscape with several characteristic villages, but above all the largest continuous forest area of Germany. Here the hiker can enjoy it all to one’s heart content. Exactly in this spot lies the city Wutha-Farnroda at a short distance from the famous Wartburg and the just as famous Rennsteig. Haus Krimhild is situated in the village part Mosbach on a 2500 m² large parcel directly at the edge of the forest and offers accommodation on the first floor to a 3- pers. holiday home. Also riding a bike is possible here and the landlord will rent these out so you will have to go through no trouble by bringing your own bikes from home. Besides that you can, due to the central location, take several excursions to among others, the stalactite caves (8 km.), the Wartburg and the Luther house in Eisenach (10 km.) or visit one of the many castles and fortresses in the region. Therefore an ideal destination for the hiker and the lover of culture.
