Just above the village Bad Fredenburg which is part of Schmallenberg lies this small, terraced complex. For centuries, this village attracts guests from near and far and is seen as the oldest holiday location of the Sauerland. It stands out that, in opposition to many other places in the area, this village has completely been rebuilt in the old style after the Second World War. Thanks to the many authentic timbered houses (Fachwerkhäuser) the village still emanates the sphere of old times. You have a beautiful view from the Burgberg, where once you could find the castle of the local rulers. The terraced apartment complex lies directly at the edge of the forest and consists of three levels with a number of neatly furnished apartments. Each apartment disposes of an own picture-window with view over the Fredenburgerland. Moreover, you can relax in the shared sauna, under the sun bank (both against fee) or in the swimming pool (free of charge). Furthermore, the environment is perfect for long hiking tours and various other activities which are organised, and the village disposes of a variety of recreative facilities. The closest ski lift is 4 km and the cross-country ski run starts right in front of the door. For better skiing facilities you can go to Winterberg which lies 25 km further on.
