In one of the most beautiful valleys of the southern Black Forest, at approx. 12 km. west of St. Blasien, lies the community Bernau. The town offers access to over 100 km. of hiking roads through the 8 km. long valley. A recommendation is a climb to the top of the 1415 metres high Herzogendom from where you will have a wonderful view at the Black Forest and the adjoining Alps. The Bernauer Oberland also offers a selection of sports- and leisure possibilities such as mountain biking, gliding and tennis. Of course trips to Switzerland (40 km.), France (15 km.) and the Bodensee are highly recommended, but also the Schluchsee (12 km.), Feldberg (15 km.) and Freiburg (50 km.) should not be forgotten. Mansion Rosi is situated at the edge of Bernau on a 1500 m² large piece of land and has a beautiful view. The 50 m² large house lies on the second floor and offers you a balcony with garden furniture. You can also use the communal garden with garden furniture, lounge chairs and barbeque and you can rent a bicycle at the landlord in order to explore the near vicinity.
