The old market place Wellheim lies in the middle in the so called Wellheimer Trockental and is along with its neighboring communities Konstein, Biesenhard, Hard, Gammersfeld and Aicha, an officially acknowledged holiday region. The area is very interesting qua landscape and geology and offers a great diversity of ancient swamps and impressive rock formations which are dominated by the, from the 12th century dating, castle ruin. In the village part Aicha, the mansion Moll offers accommodation to a spacious holiday home on the first floor with two bedrooms. The house is situated at the edge of the forest on a slightly sloping surface from where you will have a wonderful view at the surrounding forests and characteristic nature. You can of course also explore this excellently by bike as well as by foot. If you are looking for adventure, then climb the, at only 150 metres further situated, climbing wall or make a canoe trip over the Danube (15 km.).
