Sondernau is a small holiday resort, far from the stress and hectic of everyday. In the direct surrounding you will find beautiful hiking routes in the nature area "Hochrhön" with its marshes, the "Rote" and the "Schwarze" marshes, the walker and nature lover will have lots of pleasure. The "Wasserkuppe" (mountain top) with its mountain sports possibilities, nature monuments, cloister "Kreuzberg", the Basaltsee, and the Rothsee.......... During the winter you can ski here wonderfully (for the novice skiers) andtoboggan. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, minigolf, a skittle – and tennis court within 5 min. drive from the house. Then there are 5 health and spa baths Neustadt, Bocklet, Königshofen, Kissingen and Brückenau situated close to the house, approx. 1 hours drive by car.
