Plant hire plays a central role in the UK construction industry and without excavators, loaders, diggers, bulldozers and other heavy plant equipment being available on a hire basis it is unlikely that many largescale projects would ever be completed. Tracked loaders like those available for hire on this page are large and expensive pieces of kit and for many contractors, hiring a tracked loader on a job-by-job basis is a more convenient, practical and cost-effective solution that having one permanently in fleet. All the major brands of tracked loader are available on the hire market, including JCB, Bobcat and Takeuchi. (NB. Japenese manufacturer Takeuchi launched their range of tracked loaders in the UK in 2006 under the 'Bobcat' brand name. Takeuchi track loaders and Bobcats are essentially the same thing.)
